PAYING FOR THE SINS OF OTHERS

Ending the year 2009 in a about 10 minutes, I decided to choose a different angle to reflect on the past 365 days. It has become common these days for the government and us as individuals to be paying for the sins of others. I have limited them to three areas with one tale each so as to maintain the length of this article.

POLITICS

I was known as Mr Clean, but thank you for being Mr Clean-Up-After -Me. Here’s the mess I’ve made.

Prime Minister Najib Razak took his oath of office on 3rd April 2009 from a man who managed to create history twice by winning with the best ever result for BN in the General Elections (because of the solid foundation set by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed and his unselfish decision to retire) and inversely in the next General Elections garnered the worst winning margin in the history of the Governing Coalition (because of his dismantling and destructive nature towards the solid foundation set forth by his predecessor).

As mentioned in the previous article on the chap, he tried to create his own legacy, spent millions on Islam Hadhari which didn’t make much difference to those who already knew the religion, influenced the release of a very dangerous politician from jail, had his son-in-law act as the dispatch boy for the Immigration Dept sending his passport, allowing the ex-convict to seek treatment abroad that could be done here just to be popular, had his advisors further promote him at the expense of the ruling coalition party and UMNO while overturning important national projects to create his own less important ones and making countless policies which proved detrimental to the wellbeing of national harmony. The ruling party lost 5 States plus Kuala Lumpur as the result.

Within months after taking his oath of office, and idle threats of overthrowing the federal government by his much reduced nemesis, Najib showed Anwar how exactly to do it and walked his talk by accepting the support of several opposition lawmakers in the State of Perak giving back the State leadership to Barisan Nasional (BN).

Though Najib and his administration have made positive strides in rebuilding the confidence of the people for the party, BN is still paying for the sins of its former leader having to work triple-time to win back lost grounds.

ECONOMICS/ CORRUPTION

Buys Everything But The Angel Of Death.

The Port Klang Free Trade Zone scandal that shook the nation proved to be a major quake for MCA. Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing’s revelation of the Million Ringgit payments made and free jet rides given to the MCA President had rocked the whole party witnessing political allies all going for themselves like vultures splitting the party into several splinters. This project which was allegedly over-valued by several folds perhaps due to a loose agreement involving numerous important personalities will naturally cost the public more than it’s worth. This humiliating demerit of a Party that strives with and advocates the merit system and anti-corruption has reduced their noble and upstanding stature in the eyes of the public on the principles of the Chinese community of which they widely represent. Unfortunately, the whole community pays for the sins of their leaders.

LOVE

DEFICIT IN LOVE IN A “ONE IN A TEN MILLION“ DEAL

In reference to the song “One in a Million You” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHpnHih52gY by Larry Graham, a friend of mine looked upon the woman he was courting as “One in a Ten Million” while the fine lady referred to her love for him as “ten times more (than his) to the power of infinity”. In his happiness loving the woman of his dreams, he forgot to take stock of his net value. It was a dream of dreams and like all dreams it had to end. From a celebrated wannabe Prince he says, he now feels no more fortunate than a condemned Peasant. “There is nothing left to the name, when the Soul is lost, “he continued. He learnt it the hard way recently. To him, the love of his life, was like the Oasis in his desert dream but later discovered rudely that it was just an optical illusion. “Even sand looks good to drink now…whatever it takes to transfer the pain away from the heart”, he quipped. It’s funny how a broken heart can turn a person into an instant philosopher.

He allowed himself to be intrigued, got drawn in by her fine personality and intelligence (of extremely rare commodity) and innocently fell in love. It was never done, and he never pursued such endeavors before. Of course those saboteurs and opportunists with vested interest who couldn’t stand to see their affection for one another used all sorts of mechanics to beat them down, from slandering him in vain, accusing him of making a wager on her amongst his friends, to impersonating his family member on the phone to warn her of his past. They got to her eventually and naturally, my good friend lost the very one thing that inspired him the most without even given a chance to explain. But the truth of the matter is, he might have overvalued his net worth which perhaps was not enough to permanently win and protect the heart of the one he loved. After all, she was a “One in a Ten Million “ chance of a lifetime. Promises were made and trivially broken. A “sucker” is born every minute they say. I never thought my buddy could remain such, way past his 30th birthday! But I’m sure by now, he is the wiser. Can we blame the men for turning into nasty rogues owning the town after pouring their souls out only to be ultimately staked right in the centre of their hearts? My friend made me promise to post this Sicilian Song from The Godfather, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNXX2iGRlpc&NR=1 as a condition allowing me to relate his story in here. May God spare everyone the pain not unlike the one endured by Michael Corleone (in the clip) and him.

My good friend was yet another fine and true gentleman to the very end, who had to pay for the sins of others and the perception that came with them. He must remember from now that with " fortune and women, it is the bold rather than the cautious man that will win and hold them both." I pray that he may heal rapidly to face the challenges of the New Year.

Happy New Year Ladies & Gentlemen. May 2010 Bring Good Health, Honest Love, More Accountability, Much Prosperity And Goodwill Among The Citizens Of This Great Country!

AIR FORCE nONE?

Spaced out.

UPDATED: 23 December 2009/ 5 Muharram 1431H

It took 2 years of investigations before they discovered one (1) F-5E jet engine missing, but in the last 24 hours, they found another one lost. I’d say we should sack the investigators from 2007 and reinforce the ones who found the recent loss which took 729 days less to discover. LUDRICROUS!

The authorities have finally indentified a local company and a few low ranking personnel of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) involved in this treachery. The Minister in charge says that there were no high ranking officials involved. Does that mean that the transfer of machinery worth RM100,000,000.00 ( Ringgit Malaysia : One Hundred Million Only ) from the local base to a foreign country belonging to the Royal Malaysian Air Force could be signed off by just a low ranked “ Sarjan” ? We shall see with disgust in the coming weeks ahead. Let’s hope these low ranked officers who are probably SPM ( Form 5) qualifiers with “ high profile International connections “ aren’t made sacrificial lambs to save a few Generals.

The RMAF should be stripped to the core like they stripped the F-5E Tiger II and RF- 5E Tigereye fighter/reconnaissance jets for its parts, to see who the main rats are and what they were eating into. A thorough audit should be done with the entire Armed Forces to really take stock of the weaponry and artillery not to mention the inventory of the back-up machinery to be used as spare parts.

Let’s hope the Government represented by its Minister in charge refrains from issuing statements other than that a full public disclosure is forthcoming and those involved will be smashed to bits with the full brunt of the law. An ineloquent Minister will make anxiety levels high and the Rakyat’s patience thin, making the Barisan Nasioanal Government look rather daft.

ORIGINAL POSTING:

BLOODY OUTRAGEOUS! What else is there to say people? A RM50 Million F-5E jet engine belonging to the Royal Malaysian Air Force vanishes into thin air. Even David Copperfield couldn’t pull this one off! Only in Malaysia!

According to a news web, Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi, The Minister of Defense said that the disappearance was discovered in 2007. After two years of investigations, not even one Air Force personnel has been charged or taken responsibility. On the contrary, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Azizan Ariffin who was the Chief of Air Force from 30 October 2006 to 30 August 2009 got promoted as the 17th Chief of Defense Force, Malaysia on 1 September 2009 . Again, only in Malaysia.

This crime should be classified as high treason which is punishable by death as it is without a doubt an act of disloyalty to the sovereign or nation. The traitors conspired to facilitate and complete the transaction enabling foreign agents to take delivery of a property of the Ministry of Defense, Malaysia.

The perpetrators should be taken to task and their punishment be given full exposure in the media making an example of them to the Rakyat. As a tax-paying citizen myself, I’m wondering how the Defense Forces can defend our country when it is necessary while they can’t even safeguard a national asset that was in their possession? National Security was very seriously breached. A crime of this magnitude must involve more than a handful of people from the ordinary personnel right up to customs, if they used the “proper” channels to transport the merchandise abroad.

I dread to think how the security of RMAF 1 and 2, the air transportation of the Honourable Prime Minister and his Deputy, and other information on our national defense are handled. Perhaps if there is such a thing as a court martial in Malaysia, the punishment could be meted out at one of the RMAF hangars through death by gunshot to the head witnessed by all personnel involved in the security of our defense bases as a “subtle” deterrent in the future.

There should be absolutely no compromise when it comes to National Security.

OPEN LETTER TO THE UMNO PRESIDENT – RE: NAZRI AZIZ

Paramount

29 Zulhijjah 1430H

In The Name Of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri
Asallamualaikum WBT.

May Allah’s blessings and good tidings be upon you Sir.

Appreciating your busy schedule Dato’ Sri, I will proceed straight to the point of this letter which is the appalling behavior of one of the members of your esteemed Cabinet, YB Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz who openly accused former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed and more importantly Utusan Malaysia of being racists. Being a Malay politician, sensitive matters relating to Malay affairs should be dealt with delicately and with much deft as it might offend people of the same race, namely the loyal Malays who are and have since been with UMNO. Being vocal and seen as over-reaching to win over those of different races who’ve clearly abandoned us might in turn hurt the feelings of the loyalists who may perceive Nazri’s statements as the stand of your government attacking Malay Institutions.

A member of the Johor UMNO machinery who attempted to offer his humble advice on his behavior was antagonized and insulted through the text messages which were splashed on a weblog which apparently also supports our party.

Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri, we are not anti-Chinese nor Indians. We support and are strong advocates of your 1Malaysia concept which guarantees a place for everyone under the Malaysian sun. But while the Malays are ready to embrace this concept wholeheartedly, we must be weary that there are certain quarters that will twist and spin your pure intentions for the purpose of their own communities, some of whom are among us in the Coalition, though they have toned down much since you took the oath of office, exhibiting exquisite leadership on your part.

Sir, no one in the UMNO Supreme Council even raised an eye-brow when:

1. The current MCA President while he was Vice President dangerously played with the idea
of scrapping the 30 % Bumiputera Equity to gain mileage in his bid for Presidency.

2. The Gerakan Wanita chief questioned the status of the Malays as Bumiputeras.

3. The MCA Youth demanded for a second Deputy Presidential seat in the Barisan Nasional,
then true enough, later on a Committee member demanded for a Second DeputyPremiership
for the party.

4. The outgoing MCA president asked for an “end to the Bumi equity rule” and without
ambiguity accused UMNO of being a bully in the Coalition in the very presence of the PM and
his Deputy who are the top two leaders in UMNO. ( I believe you were in attendance then
Sir, as Deputy PM ).

5. The Chinese newspapers took out of context quotes from your current Deputy and your
Home Minister and went to town on it triggering strong and baseless responses from fellow
Cabinet members from the Chinese ethnic origin. These Chinese Ministers never gave
Muhyiddin or Hishammuddin the benefit of the doubt nor did they condemn their dailies for
stacking them against the Malays like Nazri is doing with Utusan Malaysia today.

6. The MIC hurled abuses towards UMNO for not doing enough for the Indians in their annual
Assembly held at UMNO House in PWTC. All this after you graciously maintained a Minister
and two Deputy Ministers’ posts for them despite their failure to win Indian votes for BN.

While I have never seen nor read of any Chinese leader condemning their own institutions especially in their zest to champion the rights of their community, it baffles me and most UMNO members how a Malay leader can be so reckless as to attack his own almost on a daily basis of late. While Nazri “may” still be an asset in your Cabinet Sir, he is certainly a massive liability in UMNO. I say this as a local leader who has the pulse of the Malays on the ground. I’m sure the various Intelligence agencies will verify this, if indeed they are doing their job.

Y.A.B. Dato’ Sri, it might be too much for us to request for you as Prime Minister to remove Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz from the Cabinet. After all it is your prerogative and you may need a “sweeper” to clean the house with. Like the well dressed butler in a Lord’s Manor, let him remain as the servant in Parliament House cleaning up after Parliamentarians, but it is incumbent upon us as Malay leaders working and fighting very hard to win back lost Malay (UMNO) votes from the grassroots and heartland to seek your good office as President of UMNO to replace Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz from the Supreme Council with someone who is willing to uphold your virtues in the 1Malaysia concept without betraying his duty to champion the rights and privileges of the Malay people as enshrined in The Constitution whenever it is breached or threatened by Malaysians at large, Malay traitors included.

Sir, I humbly seek your forgiveness if I may have stepped beyond my place of propriety in presenting this open letter to you. It is the continued success of UMNO that is paramount to us all. I pray that Allah SWT will give you and Datin Sri, Taufiq and Hidayah in your endeavor for the greater good of the Nation. Selamat menyambut Awal Muharram 1431H.

Wasallam 1Malaysia.

In The Name Of God, King and Country,
I respectfully remain,

Tengku Putra Haron Aminurrashid Jumat
UMNO Vice Chairman

NATIONAL BUDGET APPROVED BY A WHISKER !!!

Serving Without Conscience

Datuk Sri Mohd Najib Razak’s first budget as Prime Minister was nearly shot down in Parliament very late last night in what could be said as the confirmation with the narrowest margin in Malaysian history. The vote scored a pathetic 66 ayes to 63 nays. Reliable sources say that Najib, Muhyiddin and Ong Tee Kiat had to come to Parliament from their official functions to save the night and a very embarrassing situation for Barisan Nasional. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Minister in charge of Parliament himself was absent, otherwise he would have done his job by ensuring the seats were occupied by the BN MPs.

A rejected budget and one tabled by the Prime Minister himself in his capacity as the Finance Minister would have implied a no-confidence move against the Government of the day and would have made world headlines within the hour.

On my last count, Barisan Nasional had 137 seats out of 222 in Parliament. That would mean there were 71 absentees from the BN bench on a night when the reputation of the newly minted Prime Minister and his RM191.5 billion budget hung in the balance. What could be said about these 71 BN Parliamentarians? Are they:

A) Irresponsible B) Reckless C) Stupid D) Complacent E) Lackadaisical F) Tired G) Careless H) Out to embarrass the Prime Minister I) Morons J) Serving as our envoy to Washington

Damn straight! The answer is all of the above. Barring the honorable gentleman serving us in Washington D.C., the rest should be hauled up and given a dressing down for not being in Parliament where they were assigned to and elected to remain when it is in session. Talk about KPIs, this particular incident should stick out like a sore thumb on the record of these MPs.

The Prime Minister should begin to evaluate them, and those who do not have an acceptable excuse should be downgraded while quietly pin pointing their successors in their constituencies to ensure that they are properly groomed and ready to be nominated and received well by the people in the next general elections.

Prime Minister Najib Razak should plan well ahead to ensure that the people who are ready to work to achieve his aspirations will be accepted without much opposition within his party. He can do so by informing the candidates well in advance in strict confidence so that they too can prepare themselves well instead of jumping for joy like they struck the winning number in a lottery, being nominated at the eleventh hour at the MB’s residence, but hadn’t done much base touching with the people at large.

The telephone call I received this morning informing me of yesterday’s nightmare almost gave me a nosebleed. Let’s hope the fresh candidates for Parliament in the next general elections can be groomed early and trained by the BTN from now to condition their minds and political culture to avoid possible hemorrhages for BN in the future.

NAZRI CONTINUES TO "BUTTER UP" THE NON-MALAYS !

The Non- Supremacist & The Chauvanist ?

Datuk Seri Nazri Tan Sri Aziz was someone I used to look up to when I was in UMNO Youth having just returned from abroad and entering into mainstream politics after being an ordinary member for six years before that as a student. In fact, I was one of his most disappointed supporters when he declined to contest for the Youth Chief after having served in an acting capacity for a long spell. On the record, the position was his for the taking hands down but he opted to sit as a member of the Supreme Council instead, unable to be of much significance compared to his previous post. It seems now, that disappointing those who had much confidence in him has become an incurable disease which no longer can be described as a habit.

After being warned by the Prime Minister not to touch on the Biro Tata Negara (BTN) issue anymore, ruffling feathers among the hard-core Malay leaders while “holding hands and walking in the park” with Lim Kit Siang from the opposition DAP and Koh Tsu Koon from GERAKAN (Opposition in Residence), he has yet again held out his bare arms to embrace the non-Malays by hitting out at the so called non-existent Malay Supremacists, a term resurrected by the Chinese and Indian politicians from both divides of the aisle in Parliament to antagonize UMNO. It’s a good thing the MCA is currently having “intestinal” problems, otherwise they too would join in the fray.

Instead of cowering into submission on the spin by Malaysiakini in his interview smashing Malay Supremacy advocates, Nazri should have avoided it and in its stead attacked the advocates of “Malay Inferiority”, if he had an ounce of loyalty to his race at all. M Kulasegaran, the DAP National Vice Chairman who accused law abiding citizens of being racists, who lodged police reports against him instead of kicking the stool out of his curry backside, could have been a sitting duck if Nazri opted the use of reasonable intellect before shooting his mouth off.

Previous to this, Nazri ridiculed taxi drivers, the majority of whom are Malays and supporters of UMNO/BN, by comparing their taxis to public toilets. I pray that these drivers don’t look upon him as representing the UMNO party because he is merely an appointed, un-elected member in the Supreme Council.

Prime Minister Najib Razak seriously needs to wash Nazri’s mouth and keep it from continually barking lest we might lose whatever Malay support we have left while waiting to see the true outcome of 1Malaysia which at best remains a promise for now.

NB: Kepada Rakyat Berbangsa Melayu Dan Pemandu-Pemandu Teksi Yang Budiman. Assalamualaikum WBT. YB Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz Hanyalah Seorang Ahli Majlis Tertinggi Yang Telah Dilantik Diatas Ehsan Presiden Dan Bukannya Di Pilih Oleh Para Perwakilan UMNO. Dari Itu, Beliau Tidak Langsung Mewakili Pandangan Rasmi Parti UMNO Malaysia, Al-khususan UMNO Bahagian Pulai. Harap Maklum. Hidup Melayu! Salam 1Malaysia.

IS NAZRI WIMPING OUT TO THE OPPOSITION?

A miserably failed product of the BTN?

Being a minister who prefers not to contest in UMNO elections while remaining safe as a Cabinet member and being continuously re-appointed to the Supreme Council may describe the character of a gutless Malay leader.

That is probably why most of us are not surprised with the “humility“ shown by Nazri Aziz bowing to opposition pressure and hiding behind a Cabinet decision that could very well score points for the opposing side.

Most Malaysians are wondering why only after the expose by the opposition leaders, some of whom should be equally crucified because of their participation in the running of the Biro Tata Negara (BTN) when they were in the government, were steps taken to revamp the establishment. If indeed it is a racial thing, then where were Nazri and his conscience before this? Was he representing the Malaysian Cabinet on another planet altogether while all this was going on? Reading from his outrageous statements condemning the Malay Press as well as former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, he is implying that since it is now in the open, we should no longer lie to the public. The question is, was it alright to lie to the public as long as it was kept under wraps? He confessed that he too attended this course. Evidently the BTN had failed disastrously in training him to respond in an acceptable and intelligent fashion befitting a Minister in the Malaysian Government. Yes ladies and gentlemen, it is certainly NOT a lie that he dresses better than he thinks and talks. This is also proof that the BTN is not perfect, hence the need to improve it, but certainly not revamped.

1Malaysia was established even before its creator and the current Prime Minister took his oath of office and if it was indeed the reason for the revamp of the BTN, it could have been announced much earlier this year instead of after the opposition made a move on it.

I am a product of the BTN (a tool to strengthen Patriotism amongst Malaysians primarily the Malays), as are many of my friends and we get along very well with other races in this country but will be the first on the frontlines if ever our rights as enshrined in the Constitution are breached. May the curse of our forefathers be upon those who consider this being racists, and triple-fold on Malay traitors (well dressed or otherwise).

The BTN syllabus should be explained to the public unapologetically and we should stand firm by it. In that respect, all parties will act with propriety in the station that they are placed in on Malaysian soil. It is mostly confined to government bodies which comprise mainly of the Malay race. It should be of no concern to the fake Patriots who question its existence while standing by to flee the country when the going gets tough.

ADMIT CHIN PENG AND LOSE 1MALAYSIA!

The fallen heroes of Bukit Kepong. They showed true grit and magnificent valor to the very end. Let them not die in vain.

Today marks 20 years after the signed agreement of a permanent truce between the Government of Malaysia and the Communist Party of Malaya.

On record, according to The Haadyai Agreement the former “Butcher of Malaya“ probably should be allowed entry into Malaysia in accordance with the law of the land. However, the law in Malaysia as in any other country provides for the safety, peace and security as well as the wellbeing of its citizens. In retrospect, allowing the former terrorist head to return after a long absence would bring excruciatingly painful memories to the Patriots who’ve lost their comrades and loved ones to the hands of the “ Commies “ under his charge. It would have been different had the murderer sought his return almost immediately after the signed agreement like his other comrades instead of opting to live in Thailand. Deciding to return now would not only breach section 5.10 of the Administrative Arrangement persuant to the Agreement which states that “ There shall be no publicity of their entry into MALAYSIA “ , it will also burn the blood of true Patriots and the family of the fallen victims. In addition, if he were to be assassinated upon touching the soil of the Malaysian Peninsula by a severely emotionally affected Nationalist, the Government of Malaysia will be accountable in the eyes of the world, and the opposition including several Malay traitors among them will definitely travel the world with it as opposed to “going to town” on matters of a smaller magnitude.

As I usually limit the length of an argument in my articles to maintain my readers’ attention, I’ve decided to extract one item from the Administrative Arrangement as below to ponder over.

Administrative Arrangement Between The Government Of Malaysia And The Communist Party Of Malaya Pursuant To The Agreement To Terminate Hostilities.

ITEM 7 - PARTICIPATION IN POLITICAL ACTIVITIES

7.1 Members of the CPM and members of its disbanded armed units who are Malaysian citizens are free to participate in political activities including the formation of a political party or parties within the confines of the Federal Constitution and the laws of MALAYSIA.

7.2 The Malaysian authorities shall expeditiously consider any application that may be submitted by them for the registration of any political party in accordance with the due process of the law and upon registration such party shall be accorded the same status as any other legally registered political parties.

Source: Clare Street: James Wong Wing-On Online. The Haadyai Peace Accord (Part 2).

This item 7 above does not prohibit the former chief terrorist from entering into politics in whatever capacity nor does it prevent a Chinese chauvinistic political party from luring him in and turning him into an idol for members and rookies to pay homage to, therein incurring the wrath of the Malays while the “innocent“ Indians stand by enjoying the view from the grandstands. We should also not be surprised if there are members of component parties within the BN Coalition joining in the chorus in the “butcher’s“ defense. Though I pray hard that all the good work done by the current administration in forging a strong integration of cultures and social tolerance will continue to bear fruit under 1Malaysia, we cannot dismiss the possibilities beyond a reasonable doubt.

Tan Sri Rahim Mohd Noor, one of the signatories of the arrangement and an advocate of the murderer’s return albeit for a brief visit, of all people should comprehend what it is like to lose one’s sanity in a fit of a rage. If he multiplies that to the possible thousands of discontented provoked citizens, there will certainly be blood on the streets.

Chin Peng has been a “sleeping dog“ for a long time. It would do 1Malaysia good to just let him die in his sleep, where he now lays.

MAKE NO MISTAKE, NAJIB IS RAZAK’S SON.

Malaysia's Destiny.

Breathing very deeply and slowly trying to fend off a possible cardiac arrest, I sat on my TV chair not long ago in disbelief when I first heard Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia announce that while Dato’ Sri Najib was Tun Razak’s biological son, he was Razak’s “ political son”. This could be an honour for the dead if the person who said it was superb in the chosen field of his profession but if he brought disrepute and chaos not to mention the suttle threats of mutiny within his charges, then attaching himself to a former great might make the latter spin in his grave.

The previous Prime Minister was out of touch and unable to make solid and crisp decisions on the matters of the State primarily in respect of national security leading to one demonstration after another. Then there was the infamous memorandum presented by the 11 non-Malay Ministers to him, and of course, the embarrassing episode of sending a Malaysian emissary apologizing to the Chinese Government for the mistreatment of a MALAY citizen in a MALAYSIAN prison. I’d still be here typing till Christmas if I had to include the rest of the questionable decisions made by the man. Having said that, and thanking him for his flash of wisdom to retire earlier than expected, we are fortunate to have a man in the Prime Minister’s office today who is “ all hands on deck “ as far as running the government is concerned. For instance, though he respects the rights of every party within the ruling government, he will eventually intervene when a problem within that party sees no end in the near future and threatens the wellbeing of the Barisan Nasional Government. Either natural or induced, there will be closure in the MCA after Najib returns from his trip abroad on 1 December. We can bank on this.

The best indicator of his seriousness in seeing a difference in the running of the Country can be seen through his introduction of the Key Performance Index to six national key results areas (NKRA) which “ will help streamline all procedures and pool all resources in an organization, which efforts will be focused on achieving the targets in a reasonable period of time ”. The NKRA among others will focus on reducing the crime rate, providing affordable education for all, better infrastructure in the rural and remote areas, and improving public transport in the medium term. He appointed 6 ministers to lead the key areas and will meet weekly to see their progress. The other ministers themselves will be responsible for the KPIs of their respective Ministries which will be evaluated by Najib himself in every six months. He also appointed Idris Jala as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Chief Executive Officer of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit. If Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon will have problems in evaluating his own colleagues and their Ministries, the no-nonsense Idris will have no qualms about calling a spade, a spade, and this will help Dato Sri Najib to execute his duties on those who fail to execute theirs.

It is evident that with these appointments and responsibilities being formulated, Prime Minister Najib Razak means business in his Government and will not take half-hearted efforts lightly. There is already talk that a Cabinet reshuffle is in sight and if every evaluation takes six months, the first phase will complete its cycle on the 27th January 2010. The evaluation will not be stood hostage by race represented parties demanding that their Ministers be saved. Only their job performance can save their backsides then. This includes UMNO Ministers as well, for God knows there is no drought in talent and capability amongst its members. I wish the ministers good luck.

Tun Abdul Razak, the country’s second Prime Minister was a great thinker who was able to translate his ideas into developmental projects for the infant State of Malaysia then. He knew he was running against time when he led the government and tried to do as much as he could before his demise. Today, his son Najib is just as committed in seeing success materialize in this great nation, perhaps with even greater determination then his late father. He is very composed and thinks thoroughly before making decisions with clinical precision. Today, slightly a month after his second 100 days in the Prime Minister’s office, I stand witness without the slightest doubt, nor with any reservation, that Najib IS Razak’s son on both counts; biological as well as political. Let no lesser man take that away from him ever again.

May Allah Bless The Soul Of Tun Haji Abdul Razak Bin Hussein, And May He Be Placed Amongst The Righteous. Al-Fatihah.

MCA, YOUR FAILURE IS OUR BUSINESS!

Contrary to the general consensus in the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), it is very much the business and in the interest of the Barisan Nasional spearheaded by UMNO that the MCA settle its problem amicably and as quietly as possible instead of washing their dirty linen in public while expecting others not to get involved.

Liow Tiong Lai and the other Vice Presidents were present in the press conference declaring the truce between Ong Tee Kiat and Dr Chua Soi Lek, on the planned “healing” of the MCA. Yet Liow decided to air his discontentment through the media and seemed to have influenced the Youth and Women’s Wing leaders to join in his effort, in a separate press conference.

Today, after getting some free advice from a Johor lawmaker, Wee Ka Siong, the Youth Chief, as reported in the Utusan-Online arrogantly says that they can handle it themselves without outside interference. Well my advice to him and the entire Malaysian Chinese Association is, if you don’t want outside interference, then you should bloody well deal with it quietly instead of calling for a press conference and making public announcements, contradicting each other like discontented brothel owners quarrelling over the flesh business going rancid. Yes! Rancid! Because MCA is a Chinese based party that has lost almost all Chinese support and is surviving on UMNO’s charity to carry their dead-weight and do their work in winning back the support through the esteemed stewardship of Prime Minister Najib Razak.

RESIGN OR VOLUNTARILY SUSPEND YOUR PARTY FROM THE BN.

If this Chinese based party had an ounce of merit or accountability in them, as they so passionately advocated in the past with much pride, then the President, who is evidently facing a confidence crisis in his own party, not to mention the accusations of accepting RM10,000,000 in cash and free private jet rides from a company hanging over his head, should resign his membership in the Cabinet or withdraw MCA with the “principled “ support of the whole party , from the Barisan Nasional until they have properly cleaned their house.

It would be pleasant and inclusive to have a healthy MCA and other raced based parties in the Coalition. But under the current circumstances, losing MCA, MIC or even GERAKAN will not have much effect on us in the Peninsula under 1 Malaysia because the Government under Najib will not have to go through them as middle men or brokers anymore to serve the Chinese or Indians of this Nation. We can serve them directly and more efficiently ourselves and in doing so, the Prime Minister is offering first rate Barisan Nasional service at wholesale.

My final message to MCA leaders; Don’t Act Like A Bentley When You’re Actually A Ford Cortina. Stop making press conferences until your mess is cleared. We are no longer interested and would appreciate the time saved for other more worthy stories to watch for in the news.

BEAUTIFUL LIAR!

This Child Doesn't Believe In Destiny.

UPDATED: 27TH OCTOBER 2009

Just a heads up for those claiming refunds for the cancelled concert; The ticket agents readily take your cash immediately in exchange for tickets in the basement, a few yards away from the parking lot of the One Utama shopping complex for some, making it easy for you to part with your money. However, when the concert is cancelled, you are made to walk up 3 flights of stairs, not at the place you purchased the tickets but at Block A Lot 116 Jalan Semangat in PJ, fill in a form with a photocopy of your ID, queue while standing up and wait till 30th November to receive your refunds without interest.

The irony of it all is that when I purchased the tickets in cash, I felt like it was a good deal being able to watch fine entertainment by a talented member of the performing arts. While I feel the same now albeit with some grievance with her attitude towards our country’s security, yesterday however, after having gone through the trouble and being unable to retrieve my cash as easily as I parted with it, I couldn’t help but feel that it was too much of a hassle all because of a “ pole dancer who can sing ”. Sour grapes you may say? Perhaps, but I am a Patriot just the same. She’s off my bucket list!

PREVIOUSLY:

Tonight would have been the night we would be entertained by the beautiful singer popularly known for her song among others appropriately entitled, “ Beautiful Liar ”.

Beyonce bailed out and said “ NO ” to Kuala Lumpur as “ she was given some misinformed picture of Malaysia to scare her away. ”

This behavior amplifies the stupidity of some people in this industry as proper tools and resources were not utilized to investigate the authenticity of the information given, before breaking the hearts of her fans at the eleventh hour, and insulting a hospitable Nation with an impeccable record on peace and security.

Beyonce’s management was quoted in Malaysia’s premier newspaper, The New Straits Times that “ the entertainer remains respectful of the people and cultures of all nations and holds the fans of Malaysia in the highest regard,” without elaborating further. My take on this announcement is like “I don’t trust you natives with my life but I hope you suckers will continue to buy my disc and support me.”

It’s mind boggling how she can feel safe and comfortable performing in Indonesia where there’ve been several fatal bombings by religious extremists in Bali and Jakarta but is easily spooked by malicious rumors on a beautiful country with modern infrastructure, affluent citizens and no history of terrorism in the last several decades.

I was initially excited about this show and would have been seated just a couple of rows behind the VVIPs’ section, a stone’s throw away from the stage. But as a Patriot, I take offence to the way she viewed our country and treated her fans here who are fun loving citizens without an ounce of malice in their hearts.

Out of respect for the Nation and the People of Malaysia, my family and I will not be attending her future concert here if indeed this one was postponed and not cancelled.

Any self respecting citizen would do the same.

NAJIB PUTS UMNO BACK IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT

The Real McCoy

After more than a year into the current term of the Barisan Nasional Government, back-
paddling, side-stepping and taking more hits than a rugby stand-off, due to the lack of loyalty from our fellow members within the coalition taking advantage of our gentle culture, UMNO is back with a spine at last thanks to the authentic leadership of Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

Najib delivered a blistering speech in the opening of the UMNO General Assembly last week in the presence of leaders of all component parties, some of whom got too comfortable scoring political points within their own community bashing UMNO with accusations of being racists. Najib ordered them to mirror themselves and their parties’ ideologies first before pointing to UMNO. His message was loud and clear even for the deaf in the Merdeka Hall on 15th October 2009. If UMNO were racists, there would be no Chinese, nor Indian schools allowed in our education system, almost warning the ungrateful partners without having to mention it, that if these accusations continue to be heard, these privileges might be reconsidered in the future. Even Singapore, a Chinese led City-state doesn’t have a Chinese based school in its system and certainly NOT a Malay school.

His inspiring speech also sealed the amendments to the UMNO Constitution making it one of the riskiest moves the party has ever dared to make, proving to the whole country that the oldest and longest uninterrupted governing party in the world was able and willing to change and be more democratic while being dead serious about curbing corruption. Any manipulation or corruption to the new system will be solely on the backs of the leaders now as opposed to the normal 2,600 odd delegates who have nobly given up their rights, just to restore the party’s good name.

PASSENGERS AND FREE-LOADERS

While UMNO and MCA (having lost Chinese support and are themselves in very deep trouble) have changed their leadership twice in the last 6 years to rejuvenate their parties, MIC has opted to go classical by retaining their President of more than 20 years who is accepted by the party but generally despised by the larger number of its community and the Malaysian people at large.

Najib and UMNO have been supporting these bad bags for far too long giving them the benefit of the doubt until it was evident that we were doomed to unnecessarily sink together unless they were forced to swim for themselves, like they were able to when they tried to swim away from us a few months ago not following party lines. That is why the Prime Minister accepted the invitation to officiate the Makkal Sakthi party representing a part of the Indian community just before the UMNO assembly. Now, besides MIC, BN has two other Indian parties that support the government, though they are not official members of the coalition. Before that, Najib was invited by the Batu Caves Temple Committee to a function attended by thousands of Hindu followers in the absence of Samy Vellu.

Ying & Yang

Today it was reported that Ong Tee Kiat and Dr Chua Soi Lek were summoned by the Prime Minister and presumably given a dressing down for the sake of Barisan Nasional reminding them that the MCA should be put above their personal interests. This exhibition of leadership quality by Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak is a breath of fresh air and has been absent ever since Dr Mahathir Mohamed retired from active politics.

Last week the Prime Minister also hinted that in the future, he might change the method of choosing the members of his Cabinet, branching away from the tradition of allocating certain number of seats according to the importance, seniority and the composition of the members in the coalition. In respect to his “People First, Performance Now” tagline, his method of choosing Cabinet members after this might be based on the person/ party’s ability to deliver on the promises of his administration and number of seats won in Parliament.

I have been an UMNO delegate for the main body for the better part of my 20 years as a member. I must declare that besides the one where Dr Mahathir abruptly announced his retirement, the recent assembly, was the most memorable and motivating UMNO Convention I’ve ever attended and it was due to the spirited leader that we have in the current President. He has shown that he is not only in full control of UMNO, but also the Barisan Nasional and Government. The rakyat of all races are warming up to him without having to go through their respective leaders nor parties representing their communities. In his new administration, there will be no more rides for free-loaders, no more political leaders/ brokers flexing their racial muscle demanding for the world when they contribute nothing to BN, and no more extortion from UMNO Warlords. Everyone will know the true meaning of Merit in Barisan Nasional under Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

I felt the thrill that seized the mind, body and soul of every UMNO delegate in the Merdeka Hall when the President wound up his speech at the 60th UMNO General Assembly. I am convinced now, that we will close ranks and move forward by going back to the basics of being united, serving with sincerity and doing so with all humility.

UMNO Is Finally Back On The Saddle, All Fired Up And Ready To Lead Again!

WHEN UMNO UNITES .....

WE WIN ELECTIONS!!!
Till Death Do Us Part.

BAGAN PINANG witnessed the first sincere and concerted effort by the UMNO machinery, with the local division playing the most crucial role, i.e. staying united as one force working not for money, but for the future of the party and Nation under UMNO/BN, just like in the first three decades of the party. UMNO/BN won with an increase of almost double in majority. Also, it was because of a candidate who is well connected with the people of the area. Congratulations Tan Sri Isa Samad.

This is also the result of proper employment of the resources available in the government not seen since the days of when we were nearly untouchable. If we fail to use the resources properly, then we aim to fail which is rather pathetic considering the opposition has no access to the same.

In recent elections namely in the Permatang Pauh area, we gave poor showings because the UMNO division there was divided. No sincerity came out of the local machinery and UMNO office bearers resulting in the PM’s decision not to field a candidate in the Penanti by-election. Of course another reason is because it is Anwar “country” where he can probably field his gardener and still win. We need to remember that we lost Penang when the then Prime Minister himself was from there.

We can also conclude that we will never win Kelantan back with the current division leaders, former ministers and deputy ministers undermining each other for selfish reasons with UMNO being the last in their list of priorities.

Terengganu UMNO is showing cracks in the ranks because of selfish leaders who should live in Kelantan for a bit to feel how it is like being in the opposition without “Wang Ehsan”. It also reflects on the leadership qualities of the State Liaison Chief who was recently elected as one of the UMNO Vice Presidents who couldn’t even shine if he was born with patent leather, unless with the help of a relative’s influence. I hope the President will revisit his appointment as there is only so much the grassroots can do to hold Terengganu together. An added liability will not help the BN retain the State in the 13th General Elections.

This win in Bagan Pinang is indeed a long awaited boost to UMNO and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time coming into the UMNO General Assembly in Kuala Lumpur next week. I am sure everyone will be in high spirits, all fired up and ready to go anywhere the President points us to.

To my fellow delegates in UMNO, let us unite as one big happy family again for the sake of the Nation, as we know deep down in our hearts, we are the ones who are sincere, willing and able to lead and do justice to the given privilege we are holding in trust for the future generation of Malaysia.

Between the dates of 14th-16th of October 2009, it will be “Party UMNO Di Dahulukan, Perwakilan Di Utamakan!” SELAMAT BERSIDANG AND MAY ALLAH CONTINUE TO BLESS UMNO.

WE NEED A HOME MINISTER WITH LESS MOUTH AND MORE GUTS!

The Holy Quran

There is nothing more sacrilegious then to allow Quranic verses to be used by infidels for their political advancement or any purpose other than embracing the call to Islam. If this is allowed to continue they will start purchasing the Holy Quran to pick and choose verses that will serve their purpose and twist the minds of the Muslim Malay majority while placing it next to their kennels and reciting the verses during a swine eating feast among their own just for amusement.

The Home Minister should stop with the rhetoric he grew up with in UMNO Youth and start translating his warnings into action. It is bad enough that Malay rights and privileges have been verbally abused by our own partners in the BN Coalition without action being taken while he was Head of the Youth Wing, now the infidels are violating the Holy Quran and soon will be waving it in our faces while the Minister in charge keeps on warning them with the good old Malay proverb “ Jangan bermain dengan api, nanti rumah akan terbakar ” (do not play with fire, or you’ll burn the house down). Well Minister, might I remind you that your master bedroom is already on fire while you’re still fondling with rhetoric.

Just because a political party under the guise of Islam feels that it is alright for an infidel to recite verses from the Quran to Muslims without embracing Islam, it doesn’t mean that it is religiously correct. It is up to us with a whole battalion of Muftis and Ulamaks as advisors, to act on it expeditiously. The Holy Quran is regarded as a sacred guide to Muslims. It contains the Revelations of God to Muhammad (PBUH) His Messenger. It is also handled by Muslims in a pure state under ablution with care and much respect. This is definitely not observed by the non-believers.

This arrogant act by the infidels will stir the soul and burn the blood of true Muslims and as we have all seen, terrifying circumstances can occur in the name of religion. It happened in Ireland, New York and even Bali, which is closer to home. The peace and security of this blessed Nation is not to be taken for granted. If the Minister in charge hasn’t got the stomach to do his job and prevent a self manufactured catastrophe by imposing the Internal Security Act on the provocateurs on the Islamic faith, then he should resign and give way to someone with more masculinity.

13th GENERAL ELECTIONS VOTERS’ INTELLIGENCE QUIZ.

Please Do Participate.

Considering Pakatan Pembangkang is led by an Ex-Convict who did time for abuse of power when he was in the government, and BN is transparent in taking disciplinary action against its members including the latter, when you walk to the ballot box to vote in your area across Malaysia in the 13th General Elections, will you be thinking of your local candidate's work-rate or who UMNO put to contest in Bagan Pinang 3 years ago?

Your answer is much appreciated.

NO DOUBLE JEOPARDY FOR ISA SAMAD.

TIME TO BOOST UMNO’S SPIRIT AND REDEEM HIS HONOUR

UMNO has proven that it is a fair party that doesn’t practice discrimination on those who have served their sentence and remained loyal to the party.

Yes. Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad has been nominated to stand in the Bagan Pinang by-election on a Barisan Nasional ticket. Now is the time for him to work hard to win it big for BN while clearing his name at the same time.

Isa Samad was suspended as member of UMNO for 3 years in 2005 for money politics while contesting and eventually winning the Vice Presidency of UMNO in 2004. Though he was singled out when several other parties were clearly guilty of the same, he remained loyal to the party, kept quiet and even campaigned for BN in Ijok. There is no rule in the UMNO Constitution that states that a guilty member who has served his punishment and was reinstated, cannot be nominated by the Party to stand as candidate in the National Elections. It is obvious that this also applies to the opposition which is even worse having ex-convicts stand as candidates in the elections who went on to win. Also, punishing a person twice for the same crime is considered “double jeopardy” in law.

Most importantly, fielding Isa is not about giving him a second chance. The fact remains that Isa is the best candidate that can bring in the numbers to win it for BN in Bagan Pinang, and that should be the main point at a time when UMNO really needs a boost in this arena. At the very least if he succeeds, the leadership should ensure that he grooms his successor for the General Elections in three years before he stands down.

Some skeptics within and out of UMNO may say that we may win this battle but will eventually lose the war. To them I ask, what Mickey Mouse War will we win on God’s earth if we lose all our battles? We should learn to go back to basics and cross one bridge at a time instead of dreaming of Disneyland. Now, Isa Samad MUST win this battle for us. If not, then I suggest Bank Negara monitors the outflow of liquid assets in the coming months leading to the General Elections. I suspect the opposition will not be as compassionate and weak as our own if they win the Government.

BEYONCE – “ RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT “ UNDER COVER?

Malaysia! Is this a face you could say no to?

Ladies and gentlemen, usually I don’t write about entertainment in The Patriot but considering this upcoming concert unlike others, is of phenomenal (allow me this slight exaggeration) National interest, I make it an exception this one time. In fact it even had the esteemed Information, Heritage and Communications Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim coming out in its defense on the condition that Ms Beyonce Knowles, the Grand Mistress of R&B behave and dress appropriately on stage. Yes, her most lethal arsenal will presumably be under covers because in Malaysia being herself on stage without condition could be misconstrued as “ reckless endangerment “ which could be an appropriate title for her Kuala Lumpur gig.

Anyway, lately I’ve been exchanging views on the topic of beauty. Honestly speaking, in most cases, when the subject is less attractive cosmetically, his or her heart will be used as compensation to maintain the credentials of being a “beautiful” person. In life we rarely discover a perfect package, which is the case even in Hollywood, in the world of pretense. A person would either be more beautiful outside than she is inside or the flip-side where she is less attractive cosmetically but beautiful in spirit.

What does this have to do with Ms Knowles you may ask? Well she is one performer who sings like a nightingale, looks like an angel, moves like the ultimate seductress and cares with full compassion and humility as shown when she corrected a gross injustice done towards a winning Country singer whose acceptance speech was rudely interrupted by a common trash of a rapper, in the recent MTV Awards. Ms Knowles is a first rate artiste.

For her to perform here avoiding impure thoughts by her gentlemen “fanatics”, she might have to wear a straight jacket restricting her moves even in a Hijab. If ever there will be an entertainer who comes to Kuala Lumpur in a complete package, it will be Beyonce.

If we can have local artistes who are known junkies perform live and on National television making them disastrous role models for the natives, why can’t we allow a drug free lady who carries herself well as a member of the performing arts to perform in front of affluent City folks?

I congratulate the Information, Heritage and Communications Minister for being open yet maintaining some of our Eastern culture by controlling the behavior and dress code of visiting foreign artistes without banning them altogether. This also helps our tourism industry as I gather there will be a huge influx of her fans from as far as Japan and Australia coming to enjoy her show and the hospitality of a multi-cultured One Malaysia.

For those who will be there, enjoy what might be the greatest show in Kuala Lumpur perhaps second only to Michael Jackson’s many years ago. To those politicians who prefer to be safe and remain “elegantly silent” on this matter, I’m sure I’ll be seeing you there in the front rows :-p

ISA SAMAD FOR BAGAN PINANG. YES OR NO?

YAY OR NAY?

Everyone seems to have their own opinion on the candidate for the Bagan Pinang by-election. The thing is, do these outsiders know the area? Do they know what the people there want? Do the locals care what the rest of Malaysia thinks? Shouldn’t we think of what is important to the locals more than how it’s going to affect our chances in the 13th General Elections? We seem to have lost our focus. It used to be how we serve the locals in every locality by getting the best candidates to serve them and when we have done so in unison, all localities in the entire country would altogether in turn give us the mandate to run the government in the General Elections. What logic is there to think of what the rest of Malaysia would want if we put up a candidate in Bagan Pinang that will not serve them well? That is darn right selfish. On the contrary, we should strengthen the service of our representatives in all of the constituencies in the whole country, not compromise by nominating a weak representative in Bagan Pinang on the basis of his/ her political hygiene as opposed to a slightly tarnished veteran who is powerful and well received by the locals on top of being the sole candidate whom the Telok Kemang UMNO division is united in supporting.

There are a couple of ironies in the trail of UMNO by-elections.

1. We had several disunited UMNO divisions which were not agreeable to any one candidate because of the split within but the leadership had to make a choice and came up with the wrong one.

2. We have a united UMNO division which is cock sure of the candidate they want and will work their backsides off for, but the leadership is being pressured to drop him at the risk of working with a half-hearted machinery. The leadership will probably select a clean candidate but not necessarily a winnable one.

This is my “ quick and dirty “ take on it. Let’s stop looking at the bigger picture even before the painting has begun. Just make sure that everyone paints his section of the masterpiece properly and when everyone has done their part without a smudge, everything will fall in place nicely in the big picture making it a masterpiece that can be sent to Christy’s International for auction.

In other words, every BN representative whether shadow or otherwise should work hard in their own designated service area and if everyone does his/ her part in satisfying the Rakyat, then Barisan Nasional will sweep to a landslide victory in the next General Election under the stewardship of Dato Sri’ Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir has opined that we should not field Isa because of the disciplinary action taken upon him by UMNO which he has duly served. Well it is an open secret that the Disciplinary Board under pressure practiced selective prosecution and if it did its job without prejudice, more than half of the Supreme Council might have been punished as well.

Having the utmost respect and gratitude for Tun being the leader that has put Malaysia properly on the map in numerous sectors in the economy and finance, his opinion on the choice of candidates however should be taken with a pinch of salt considering it is not his forte.

1. We lost Kelantan because as Prime Minister then, Tun wanted to retain the Menteri Besar Tan Sri Yaacob Mohamed, against the wish of the mass.

2. We lost Terengganu also because he chose to retain Wan Mokhtar, the Menteri Besar who served three Sultans, under extreme opposition from the rakyat.

3. He hand-picked Anwar Ibrahim to succeed him even when there was a catalogue of more senior, aspiring and qualified candidates in UMNO to choose from. Everyone knows what became of that.

4. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was his choice for Deputy President of UMNO and Deputy Prime Minister when the greater majority of UMNO delegates including the writer voted Najib in as number one Vice President beating the former hands down with eyes shut in every single UMNO election. Tun’s final choice brought the Barisan Nasional to its knees and almost destroyed national unity, the very fabric of our society due to the total incompetence of his said choice. We are still struggling to regain our position though Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib has stopped the hemorrhage.

The ultimate question here should be; Does Bagan Pinang Want Isa Samad Or Not? If the un-doctored 5 agency intelligence findings say that they don’t want him, then we should find a suitable replacement but if they want him, then by God put him there as our candidate and let the other BN representatives take care of the rest of Malaysia!

Don’t think of winning the war when we can’t even win small battles.
The decision is staring us point blank. Make the right choice for BAGAN PINANG!

A ROYAL FLUSH

Is it going back to the old days again when minor princlings go to clubs marking their territory trying to prove who is more royal than the other? In the 80s we saw the children of one particular Head of State gallivanting and controlling the discos in town each having bodyguards to intimidate other patrons of the clubs they frequent.

In the 90s, then Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed and UMNO put a stop to criminal intimidation by certain irresponsible royal parties by amending the Constitution. Things became much better ever since and after behaving in the proper fashion, the Royal members were restored certain privileges befitting their position in the society.

Today, it seems it has reared its ugly head again, with a battery of bodyguards flaunting their muscles on the highway and in established clubs downtown Kuala Lumpur. I hope this time, the government won’t have to take out “ the stick “ yet again to put everyone in their proper places.

Recently, a member of Negeri Sembilan’s former first family, claimed that he was assaulted by the third in line to the Johor throne reportedly at the Crowne Plaza at Jalan Sultan Ismail after having a friction at a club downtown. He claimed to have been beaten by the Johor Prince while a gun was being pointed to his head by the same. That’s an awkward position as I personally would think that pistol whipping him would have been more affective and easier. Anyway, the alleged victim’s mother came to his rescue when in a rare opportunistic moment he managed to communicate with her.

Now I don’t know this chap from Negeri Sembilan but I have encountered the Raja Muda of Johor several times and even once took my time driving off from a VIP parking space while he patiently waited for his turn. His bodyguards didn’t even rush to me to shoo me off, and this was on Johor soil. He seemed like a gentleman then and not at all big headed like he is painted out to be. People can change though but there is an easy solution to uncovering the truth. If all this happened in the lobby elevator and the corridors of the Crowne Plaza, then the CCTV recordings on that evening should shed some light .

1. If it shows that the event didn't occur the way it was claimed, then the liar should be charged
for perjury.

2. If it did occur the same way the accuser had claimed then the Johor Prince and his goons
should be charged for assault with a deadly weapon and put in the slammer.

3. If the CCTVs were not working, then both should sue the so called 5 Star Crowne Plaza for
failing to take proper precautionary measures to preserve the security of its guests and
denying all parties of the whole truth.

The alleged victim’s mother sought RM50 million in damages and an apology, even said that her son is priceless and it’s not about the money, contradicting herself in one whole breath. I’d think that if it was indeed for justice, then she shouldn’t throw in the damages with an apology but instead demand for nothing less than a jail sentence for the Raja Muda of Johor. Adding the fact that her son just completed a chemotherapy course for cancer made her plea for sympathy from the public really pathetic considering he was presumably celebrating the end of the treatment at an alcohol infested night club as opposed to paying gratitude to the Almighty in front of the Ka'abah in Mecca.

The Home Minister, as much as I hate to relate anything to him in my blog, has said that the delay in the investigation in this case is because there was an effort to settle it between the two parties privately. Now from what little I know of the law, when there is criminal intimation with a deadly weapon thrown in, even if the two parties decide to settle it privately, the Attorney General is bound by duty to open the case for investigation.

Whatever the case may be, the bottom line is; one irresponsible royalty MUST come out paying the price to society for being a public nuisance and bringing the Malaysian Royalty to shame and exposing the Institution to further bashing from the Rakyat. The Special Court to my knowledge is to hear cases involving only Sultans and Royal Heads of States. Minor princlings must be subjected to the normal court of law along with other peasants of the State.

An example must be made for the other members of the royalty and even more importantly children of rich local politicians with powerful strings to pull so that everyone knows that in the eyes of God and the law of the land, everyone is as equal as the teeth of a comb. As we are accountable to God in the hereafter, we are equally accountable to society for our misguided ways in this current life.

BAN MIC FROM THE PWTC !

The House should be cleansed of the stench left by our ungrateful guests.

If UMNO doesn’t take umbrage and reacts sternly on the behaviour of the Malaysian Indian Congress, then it is only right for me to brand the whole Supreme Council members as traitors to the party! I can start with this paragraph this way because I’m sure everyone knows what event preceded this statement.

This Indian party, whose President is rich beyond any average wealthy Indian’s dream, held their meeting in the Merdeka Hall of the Putra World Trade Centre presumably belonging to UMNO and hurled verbal diarrhea at the Party which graciously allowed them to use their premise for the yearly event. If ever there was a bunch of ingrates it would be the Malaysian Indian Congress party.

Everyone knows how this Indian party works and it is almost as if the majority of her members wouldn’t even breathe unless they get the permission to do so from their President. In that respect, it is difficult to fathom how a delegate, without the blessings of their President would be brave enough to show total disrespect and rudeness for UMNO, the party that has done more for them then any other in the history of this Nation and her former President, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed. The plot not unlike one coming from a Tamil movie is so predictable allowing a delegate to speak ill of another party only to take action against the person as though he was surprisingly “ out of line ” altogether vindicating the mastermind behind the whole fiasco.

The Indians unlike the Chinese have no majority over any constituency that they contest in. The MCA and GERAKAN candidates will contest in the areas where the Chinese hold a majority, while UMNO, out of comraderie (charity is more like it) will allow MIC to contest in areas where there is Malay majority. All the seats that the Indian candidates have won were from the votes given by the Malays. After the last general election, even after failing to win the Indian votes for BN, the MIC were given a full Minister’s post and two Deputy Ministerships, yet they say that the Malays, UMNO and BN have done nothing for their community when all this while UMNO and BN have been watching their backs for them. Couldn’t it be that the Malays, UMNO and Barisan Nasional have done a lot for them, but the development and allocations have not reached the Indians directly and properly through the hands of the Malaysian Indian Congress Party? Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed has done more for the Indians in 22 years than their own President has since Tan Sri Manikavasagam. That is why Tun thought it appropriate to speak up for them as an elder Statesman, but he was viciously attacked in fiery speeches offering to garland his picture with slippers, the lowest form of insult the Indians can offer to anyone.

There is a saying that even fluffy beasts with fleas know how to be grateful to the hand that feeds them. I am not only disgusted at the insult on Tun Dr Mahathir, but I am also appalled at their accusation towards UMNO and the Malay leadership after the latter carried them like a bad baggage for the better part of post independence after Manikavasagam. The Indians have rejected the MIC. Instead of winning them back, they blame the whole Barisan Nasional specifically UMNO.

It is time we did away with this parasite and found new partners who are more sincere in serving the Indian community and grateful to their brothers in Barisan Nasional. Being soft hearted and timid unlike authentic Malay leaders of the past, UMNO leaders today may not be in the position to pressure MIC out of Barisan Nasional. But at the very least, to stay non-treacherous to the party that best represents the Malay race, the Supreme Council must choose to forbid the further use of UMNO property by the Malaysian Indian Congress in future. Anything less than such an action will paint the party as being weak bordering subservient to artificial strength shown by even weaker parties within the Barisan Nasional.
